NDLEA, EFCC bust Lagos cartel with fake $269,000

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has uncovered a fake dollar cartel in Lagos. Media Director, Femi Babafemi announced the bust in a statement on Saturday. The joint operation involved operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Babafemi said the agency worked on intelligence received from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the United States. Buhari approves recruitment of 5,000 personnel for NDLEA

The Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Col. Muhammad Abdallah (retd), says President Muhammadu Buhari has approved recruitment of 5,000 personnel for the agency to boost its manpower. Abdallah made the disclosure on Friday at the Public Destruction of Drug Exhibits by Taraba Command of NDLEA in Jalingo. NDLEA Intercepts Hard Currency Smugglers At Lagos Airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Special Area Command, has intercepted two currency smugglers at the Airport in Abuja.  The suspects, Obasi Derek Chidi and Nebo Obunmneme Lloyd were apprehended as they arrived at the airport aboard an Ethiopian Airline Flight 911, connecting from Tel Aviv, Israel on Friday. NDLEA destroys 3,900 hectares of cannabis in Ondo, opposes Akeredolu
