Breaking: Court jails Ondo accountant seven years for N7m theft

An Ondo State High Court has sentenced an Ondo civil servant, Aminu Kamilu, to seven-year imprisonment with hard labour. Kamilu is an accountant attached to the Ondo State Hospital Management Board. He was said to have stolen the money in 2017 as an accountant with the General Hospital, Ikare. Presiding Judge, Justice William Olamide, who gave the judgement, said Kamilu could not absolve himself as all evidence he presented to deny culpability in the allegation of stealing the government’s money did not hold water. Justice Olamide acquitted the second defendant, Azeez Musa, saying the convict single-handedly committed the offence. He
