Former State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State, Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa, popularly known as Asejere, has berated Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola for offering his private residence in Osogbo to host Alhaji Taofiq Arapaja, a Chairmanship Aspirant of the PDP ahead of the party’s Zonal Congress in the Southwest.

Ganiyu said Prince Oyinlola lacks the wherewithal to lead a genuine reconciliation process.

He gave this hint on Sunday while addressing the press in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

Starnews Nigeria reports that in pursuance of his ambition to become the South West PDP Chairman, Ambassador Arapaja, had on Saturday visited Osun State to meet with the party’s stakeholders but instead of visiting the party secretariat, he took his campaign to Oyinlola’s residence to address some factional leaders of the party to seek their supports.

Ganiyu said: “Yoruba is very rich in culture, one proverb of Yoruba says “Agba ko si ni ilu, ilu baje. Baale ile ku, ile di ahoro” (When there is no elder in the town, the town got destroyed and the moment the family head died, the house became empty). It is quite worrisome to see my former boss, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola stooping so low to the extent of making his living room a parallel office to host H.E Alhaji Taofiq Arapaja, the Southwest Chairmanship Aspirant of the PDP ahead of the Zonal Congress of the party in the Southwest.

“When Governor Oyinlola was sending messages to us some weeks ago calling us for a reconciliation meeting, I told those who care to listen that the acclaimed reconciliation is “LORI IRO”. The truth has now revealed itself. I believe my people can all see now.”

“After the Appeal Court Judgement has clearly stated that Hon. Sunday Bisi is the State Chairman of Osun State PDP, I don’t expect someone of Prince Oyinlola to be acting against the leadership of Sunday Bisi if he is sincerely a leader of the party.”

“If Prince Oyinlola has been a truthful leader, he should be a rallying point and a unifying factor for all the aggrieved leaders of the party in Osun State but alas he prefers to be led and misinformed.”

“This is not the quality of a good leader.
Whoever that believes in Hon. Sunday Bisi leadership and accept Sen. Ademola Adeleke as his or her adopted Gubernatorial candidate for 2022 will distance his/herself from the factional visitation of Arapaja to Oyinlola’s residence on Saturday.

“Without being boastful or immodest, I belong to the majority and 79% of Osun State delegates are on our side. Our support is for Dr Eddy Olafeso and Rev’d Bunmi Jenyo and there is no going back”.

Dr Eddy Olafeso has visited Osun State severally; his meeting point has always been the Party Secretariat. That is how it should be and not in a private living room.

“I wish Alh. Taofiq Arapaja journey mercy, we shall meet at the congress ground where delegates will decide who lead them in the Southwest zone”.
