While thousands of party supporters in Sokoto were on Wednesday waiting for the arrival of governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State at an event where the governor will formally announce his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Sokoto Government House, 23 members of the Kwara State House of Assembly have announced their defections from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The lawmakers disclosed this on Wednesday.
This comes after the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and the state governor Abdulfatah Ahmed dumped the ruling party for the opposition party.
As at the time of filing this report, an event is currently underway at the Sokoto Government House where governor Tambuwal will defect to the PDP and ask declare his presidential ambition.
