The residents of Owode community under Okitipupa local government of Ondo State have cried out to the council boss of Okitipupa local government for urgent help over gully erosion threatening their existence.

In a save our souls (sos) letter written to Mrs Morenike Alaka, chairperson of Okitipupa local government, the residents lamented that several plots of lands and houses have been destroyed in the street as a result of the gully erosion.

D. K. Arowojolu-Alagwe (Mrs) who wrote the SOS and made a copy to our correspondent, said that half of the fence of her compound has been subdued by the erosion while half of the front of the house had also been destroyed with the foundation of the house now being threatened as a result of the gully.
