The presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi was in the state on Thursday to flag off Alex Otti’s governorship campaign.

“Welcome to Abia “God’s own state” @PeterObi , Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, and your entourage. Ndi Abia are ready to take back their state,” Otti had written.

In videos seen by SaharaReporters, some of the Labour Party members could be seen shouting and struggling with one another as money was being shared with them after the rally.

“How much are they giving us here?” a party member who attended the rally was heard saying.

An old woman was also heard complaining that the coordinators of the rally had not given her “rally money and drink”.

The videos also show how funds were being distributed to some of those who attended the rally.
