The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed the endorsement rumour of Hon Agboola Ajayi, Ondo State deputy governor, ahead of the state gubernatorial election in October 10, 2020.

In a telephone interview with Starnews Chief Editor on Sunday afternoon over report by an online medium that some PDP governors and the NWC of the party have settled for Agboola Ajayi and conceded the ticket of the PDP to him, Kola Ologbondiyan, the Spokesman of the PDP said how can the editor of any online medium publish such a story even when the said deputy governor is not a member of the PDP.

Ologbondiyan said: ”Just imagine what you are saying, are you a reporter or an editor? Are you the publisher? How can you ask such a question whether the PDP has conceded its ticket to a man who is not even a member? You just said with your mouth that the man is coming to join, it means he has not even joined and not yet a member of our party”

But sir, I just told you that the news was reported by an online medium in Ondo State and this is why we are calling to seek clarification, our Editor cut in during the telephone conversation.

Ologbondiyan said again: ” My brother, listen to me now, how does this sound to you? Look at it yourself, I thought you said you are the editor, how can any newspaper write such a story that the party concede its ticket to a man who is coming to join?
