Missing Babcock University Student Found After Public Appeal

The search for Oladipupo Siwajuola, a student of Babcock University in Ilishan Remo, ended on a positive note after his mother, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo, confirmed on Saturday that he had been located.

Omotayo, who had earlier used social media to plead for help in finding her son, shared the news of his recovery in a simple Facebook post, stating, “My son has been found.”

Her heartfelt plea had gained significant attention online, particularly after she made an emotional live video appeal to both the public and security agencies on Saturday.

In the video, Omotayo explained that she had dropped her son off at the university on the evening of Sunday, April 27, but was unable to contact or find him in the days that followed.

Babcock University has since confirmed the news.

Dr. Joshua Suleiman, the university’s Director of Marketing and Communications, told our correspondent on Sunday that they were aware the student had been found.

“Yes, we are aware,” Suleiman confirmed via WhatsApp in response to the query about Omotayo’s post.

As of the latest update, details on the circumstances surrounding Siwajuola’s location and recovery remain unclear.
