By Charles Maduka

The Lagos State Government has announced a postponement of the scheduled repair work and traffic diversion on the Ogudu–Oworonshoki Bridge.

This was disclosed on Friday by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, through an official statement released to the press in Lagos.

Osiyemi explained that the new commencement date for the repair work and the associated traffic diversion would be communicated to the public soon. He reassured residents that the government remains committed to minimizing disruptions while ensuring public safety during ongoing infrastructure upgrades.

“We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued cooperation,” the commissioner stated.

The repair project, earlier slated to begin on May 13 and run until September 23, 2025, has now been temporarily put on hold pending further notice.
