Just In: CBN extends deadline for old naira notes to Feb

The Central Bank of Nigeria has extended deadline for the swapping of old naira notes till February 10, 2023. The CBN stated this in a release on Sunday.

CBN Gov. says it has Buhari’s permission to effect the extension. Emefiele says so far CBN has collected 1.9 trillion and left with 900billion to achieve effective implementation of policy.
