Jigawa Governor Mourns the Loss of His Mother

Umar Namadi, the Governor of Jigawa State, has announced the death of his mother, Maryam Namadi-Umar, who passed away early on December 25, 2024, following a brief illness.

The news was shared through a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Hamisu Gumel.

Maryam Namadi-Umar will be laid to rest today at 4:30 PM in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, as per Islamic burial rites.

Governor Namadi and his family have requested prayers for her soul during this time of loss, seeking comfort and divine mercy.

This passing marks a moment of deep sorrow for the Namadi family, and the governor’s office has expressed gratitude for the public’s support and condolences.
