The President of the Union of Ikale Indigenes, Omowole Omogoroye popularly known as Omo -omo has condemned the protest by the youths of Odigbo town against the appointment of Hon.Tosin Obamoyegun as the Secretary of Odigbo Local Government by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Starnews Nigeria reports that some youths of Odigbo LG protested on Tuesday against the political appointment of an Ikale son, Hon.Tosin Obamoyegun as the Secretary to the Local Government.

In a statement on Wednesday, Omogoroye wondered why an Ikale son who had been in the politics of Odigbo LG over the years would have to be alienated from enjoying the political right an Odigbo LG son was diligently accorded with maximum political support in a similar appointment at Okitipupa Local Government Council.

He wrote:

“I am constrained to bring to public notice the happenings at Odigbo LG Secretariat where some political miscreants camouflaging as youths of Odigbo LG are protesting against the political appointment of an Ikale son, Hon.Tosin Obamoyegun as the Secretary to the Local Government.

“Not too long ago this type of appointment was made by His Excellency Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu the Governor, when one Hon. Prince Abayomi Adesanya full fledged Araromi Obu son was appointed as the Executive Chairman of Okitipupa LG and there was no challenge in any form.

“He had his first and second term, tenor extension so to say without hindrance, hatred and objection from any individual or collectivity, amazingly however, one wonders
while now that an Ikale son who had been in politics of Odigbo LG over the years would have to be alienated from enjoying the political right an Odigbo LG son was diligently accorded with maximum political support in a similar appointment at Okitipupa Local Government Council.

“Me think that this political nyophites needs be call to order very quickly by their lords still masquerading in their empty political connect euphoria of the recent past.

“It is specially important to put on record that the population figure of the residents of Odigbo LG is dominated by her Ikale indigenes.
It is on this note that the public and indeed those who care to know are been invited to call on these myopic minded political jobbers and thugs to disarm themselves and withdraw shamefully and return to their masters enclave to embark on something positive in the own interest.

“This appointment by his Excellency in my opinion is accomplished. All APC political stalwarts and leaders in Odigbo LG male and female of Ikale are been challenged to wake up. This is the most appropriate time to bring Ikale indigenes in Odigbo LG to a meeting where the political take over of the LG must be the topic,” he said.
