Afrobeats superstar, Tiwa Savage, has clarified speculations linking her romantically with fellow singer, Wizkid.
The singer recently revealed in an interview that she once dated a public figure.
According to her, the relationship was deliberately kept away from the spotlight because her partner preferred to remain discreet, even though he openly flirted with other women under the guise of protecting their privacy.
Her comments immediately sparked widespread speculations, with many Nigerians concluding that she was referring to Wizkid, given the long-standing rumours of a romance between the two artistes.
However, in another interview with The Breakfast Club, Tiwa Savage debunked the claims, stressing that while she has deep admiration and respect for Wizkid, he was not the celebrity in question.
The mother of one chose not to disclose the identity of the celebrity she dated.
“Shoutout to Wizkid. I love and respect him but he isn’t the one I was referring to. I said the person was a public figure but it’s not him,” she said.
