The Ondo state chapter of Theatre and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has commended the efforts by the Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu led administration for his magnanimity in disbursing palliatives to association, groups and various unions, in Ondo state.

However, the state Governor of TAMPAN, Chief Adebayo Jacob has frowned at the modality applied by Akeredolu government in disbursing the said palliatives to unions and association without including the Ondo State chapter of TAMPAN.

In a statement by the group Publicity and Research Secretary, Bimbo Sunday, on Saturday, the group lamented the total exclusion of TAMPAN despite having over 8,000 membership strength across the eighteen local government areas of Ondo state who are mostly the indigenes of the state.

”Though it takes a caring hearted- leader to take into consideration the well being of his subjects, but our group felt totally marginalized”, Chief Adebayo said.

”The Yoruba genre of Nollywood (TAMPAN) therefore plead with the state government to make an immediate amendment as the effect of this disease considering the nature of our profession coupled with our adherence to the government directives, “SOCIAL DISTANCING”, has really affected us, the statement added.
