Gov Makinde Completes Houston Half Marathon in Impressive Time Despite Harsh Conditions

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State proudly announced his completion of the Houston Half Marathon, finishing the race in 2 hours and 53 minutes.

Starnews NG reports that the governor shared his achievement on his Facebook page, expressing satisfaction with his performance despite the challenging weather conditions, which saw temperatures plummet to a chilly 1 degree Celsius.

In his post, Governor Makinde reflected on his progress as a runner, noting that he finished the Houston Half Marathon faster than his previous time at the Berkeley Half Marathon, which he completed approximately two years ago.

Additionally, the governor participated in a 5K fun run the day before the half marathon, finishing that race in 38 minutes. His dedication to fitness and running serves as an inspiration to many, highlighting the importance of physical health and perseverance.

Governor Makinde’s participation in these events showcases not only his commitment to personal fitness but also promotes a message of resilience and determination to the people of Oyo State and beyond.
