Good News for Women: Betty Akeredolu Hails the Return of Ondo’s First Lady, Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa

The widow of the late former Ondo State Governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, has lauded the return of Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, wife of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, describing it as a welcome development for women in the state.

Speaking with Starnews NG Publisher, Olumide Akinrinlola, on Saturday, Anyanwu-Akeredolu decried the sidelining of women in governance, noting that the revival of the Office of the First Lady would refocus attention on their issues.

She wrote, “Good news! Good for the women of Ondo State. Women of Ondo State had been sidelined in the scheme of things. Nobody was doing the pillow talk for them. The Office of the First Lady will come alive again. Happy for them!”

Her remarks follow speculations about the state of affairs within the government, particularly the conspicuous absence of the governor’s wife from public engagements since her husband assumed office.

The return of Mrs Aiyedatiwa is expected to rekindle advocacy for women’s rights and welfare in the state, as the Office of the First Lady traditionally serves as a platform for such initiatives.

What is her business with return of the woman? Let her face her business as she has not been a good friend of the family from begining. She just wan put her mouth for everything happening in the state. After all she is no longer the first lady.
