Ex-Commissioner, Iyantan picks APC nomination forms

A former Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Ondo State, Prince Diran Iyantan, has obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Iyantan picked the forms at the party’s Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.

Speaking at the Secretariat, Iyantan expressed optimism that he would emerge the flag bearer of the party at the end of the primary election slated for April 25, 2024.

He added that his political clout and administrative prowess would enable him steer the affairs of the state to the right direction where the masses would enjoy the dividends of democracy.

However, he urged APC members to throw weight behind him in achieving his age-long dream of turning around the fortunes of the state.

Recall that Starnews NG had reported on February 27, 2024, that Iyantan is one of the four Aspirants that put President Bola Tinubu in a dilemma of choice over the governorship ticket of the ruling APC in Ondo State ahead of the Governorship election.
