Breaking News: Senate Declares IG As Enemy of Democracy

Nigerian Senate has declared the Inspector General of Police, Mr Idris Ibrahim as enemy of democracy in Nigeria who is not fit to hold any office in Nigeria and abroad following refusal of the police boss to appear before the Senate to brief it on security matters.

The Senate also passed a vote of no confidence on the Inspector General of Police today at the hallow chambers in Abuja for not honouring her invitation on security matters affecting the country.

Recall that the Nigerian Senate had invited the National Security Adviser (NSA) Babagana Monguno and  the police boss to brief the Senate on how to halt arms proliferation in the country.
