Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has officially withdrawn his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His resignation was conveyed in a letter personally signed and submitted to the APC chairman in Bangshika Ward, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Lawal stated that his decision to leave the ruling party takes effect immediately. However, he withheld details of his next political destination, promising to reveal his new affiliation in the near future.

“This letter is to formally inform you that I am no longer a member of the All Progressives Congress,” he wrote. “At the appropriate time, I will announce the political group I intend to join, where I will work with others to contribute to building a better Nigeria.”

He ended the note with a warm farewell: “Please stay blessed and kindly extend my greetings to other members of the party.”
