—Tenders unreserved apologies for her youthful exuberance

Juwa Clementinah, the lady in the viral video who was said to have been bullied by Dr Jimoh Ibrahim, the Ondo South Senatorial Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) during the distribution of food items popularly known as “Aseyori Package” at Omotosho town in Okitipupa Local Government Area in Ondo State has accused opposition parties of playing politics with her mistakes.

Clementina and her parents said in a statement sent to Starnews Nigeria on Wednesday that she was at fault for not following a simple instruction which others followed to collect the Aseyori Package from the APC Senatorial Candidate. She, therefore, apologised to Dr Jimoh for her insincerity, and lack of contentment which she blamed on youthful exuberance.

Recounting the event that led to her viral video in circulation against the APC Senatorial Candidate, she said, “they are using my video to play politics against Dr Jimoh Ibrahim who is also my kinsman. Politicians are wicked. How can they be using my mistakes to play politics in the name of winning an election?

“Dr Jimoh didn’t wrong me. I was the one that wronged him for being disrespectful to him and his boys while they were correcting me to follow due process during the collection of the Aseyori Package.

“What happened was that I collected the card that belonged to a friend of mine to get the Aseyori Face Cap in desperation to get the food items, I used another person’s card ignorantly for the food items but I was caught because I did not know the owner has already been attended to, I didn’t know they were taking record of the distribution of the Aseyori package.

“Having bypassed the first screening of getting the card because I can’t queue for it, I thought within myself that I would use the borrowed card to get my Aseyori Packs. So I joined the queue to collect the food items and I presented the already used card but I was caught, this was the reason for my exit from the venue.

“Dr Jimoh Ibrahim did not bully me nor did he embarrass me or anyone. It was all youthful exuberance. At the venue, everything went well and the food distribution was orderly. The aged and expectant mothers and people with little children were given special treatment.

“This is why my parents and I decided to issue this statement because politicians are using my mistakes to campaign for political gain. I sincerely apologise to Dr Jimoh Ibrahim. I am sorry for what I did and the negative publicity my actions might have caused him,” the lady added.

Corroborating the story of the young lady, her father, Pa Juwa Orukayemi said he saw the video in circulation and was surprised some unscrupulous individuals are using her daughter’s video for political gain.

According to him,” I have asked my daughter what happened and she explained to me. Jimoh Ibrahim is my younger brother and a father to Clementina. My daughter deserves to be punished for flouting simple instructions despite her correction, not once, but for the second time.”

“I enjoin the people never to mind those using that video to settle political scores with Araba. I am an APC member since President Buhari’s re-election bid, my daughter and all members of my family are for the party. So, those peddling such news should desist as that would not change what God has destined for Jimoh Ibrahim, who happens to be the candidate of my party”, he said

For the moment, Hon. Chris Ayebusuwa, the APC candidate for Okitipupa State Constituency I in the forthcoming State Assembly Election, has promised to sponsor the education of the girl’s daughter- Dabira who is in Kg class throughout her primary school education.

Ayebusuwa made the promise when he was told that the little child did not go to school for lack of financial capacity by the parents.

Starnews Nigeria reports that Ayebusuwa has gotten across to the Proprietress of the school for necessary details on the child’s welfare and payment.

Meanwhile, the billionaire business mogul and Ondo South APC Senatorial Candidate, has continued with the sharing of his Aseyori package across the six local governments of the Senatorial District as part of his move to ameliorate the negative impact of the economic disasters on the good people of the district, Starnews Nigeria reports.
