Aregbesola Speaks On Meeting Tinubu in France

Former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has reacted to claims that he travelled to France to meet President Bola Tinubu.

He cleared the air on Tuesday, saying he has not left Nigeria and is currently in Abuja.

The claim began to spread on social media on Monday, suggesting that Aregbesola had gone to France to see President Tinubu, who is on a two-week vacation in Paris.

But Aregbesola has described the report as false and misleading.

In response to the rumour, Aregbesola, through his media aide, said he never left the country and had no meeting with the President abroad.

He explained that he remains in Abuja and urged the public to ignore the false information making rounds online.

The statement was meant to stop the spread of the rumour and correct the wrong impression about his location and activities.

He also said there was no need to attach meaning to a meeting that never happened.

The report of the meeting has since been dismissed as baseless.
