Starnews NG reports that Erelu wrote in from the United States of America (USA) and offered useful advice with lot of recommendations to all the necessary parties in order to achieve the aims and objectives necessitating the formation of AMOTEKUN.

She also attacked those she described as coward Yoruba leaders and asked them to remain silent forever.

The full letter reads:

I want to use this medium to appreciate the introduction of Yoruba Regional Security outfit in the name of AMOTEKUN.

I say a big thank you to all the six South-West governors, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders for the wisdom and knowledge in coming together to inaugurate the regional security outfit, AMOTEKUN, which unite the Yoruba/omo kaaro ojiire more than June 12. My prayers for you all is that Eledumare, in His infinity mercy will continue to guide and protect you all.

Be that as it may, I still want to advise that in order to achieve all set aims and objectives necessitating the formation of AMOTEKUN, all stakeholders must ensure strict compliance with the stipulated guidelines. In other words, the rules and regulations that must be obeyed and followed by all members in carrying out the day-to-day activities of Amotekun must be spelt out.

All stakeholders must also put in place measures to ensure strict disciplinary actions against any members of the regional security outfit found wanting of one irregular misconduct or the other. This is to ensure credibility of the security outfit and its members.”

I also want to give a general advice to all my Yoruba brothers and sisters who would be recruited into AMOTEKUN to please see their appointments as a call to a greater service to ensure the peace, stability, growth and development of Yoruba land.”

The prospective recruits should be law-abiding and not allow any kind of intimidation in any way. They should also apply wisdom in all situations they may find themselves.”

This becomes more imperative, most especially when they come across non- speaking Yoruba tribes in the cause of their daily activities or duties.”

I strongly believe that if part of these measures are applied and followed, criticisms from other regions and even the one coming out from the Presidency will be greatly reduced, if not totally removed.”

Finally I will still commend all our Yoruba leaders, the six governors, elder statesmen and women and our revered traditional rulers who were bold enough to make AMOTEKUN a reality as our security apparatus in Yoruba land.”

For the coward leaders and traditional rulers who failed to support the formation and inauguration of AMOTEKUN, I want to thank them for their act of cowardice. As they chose to be silent now, they should remain silent forever and till infinity.”

I am truly yours, Erelu Oodua Tinuade Mabel Onaneye, (Amotekun) USA, ” she wrote.
