The Ondo State Government has explained his position on the arrangements to authorize Marijuana in the state.

Akeredolu had asked the Federal Government to enter the cannabis industry as part of measures to expand the nation’s economy.

Akeredolu said Ondo State, which is known for its rich land for development of cannabis will utilize the Thailand’s program, which he said is based on abusing the likelihood of restorative cannabis.

The representative has from that point forward gotten thumps and credit over the circumstance.

While the likes of Omoyele Sowore and Seun Kuti praised the thought, Shehu Sani, Senior Special Assistant to the president begged Akeredolu to put the state’s assets in something more important than the proposed Indian hemp ranch.

While explaining his position, Akeredolu cautioned that cannabis development is yet to be legitimized instead of reports making rounds.

Talking through the Commissioner for Information, Yemi Olowolabi, the Governor said the state government was already in talks with the federal government to make it lawful for economic purpose.

He said the cooperation of the NDLEA shows that Federal Government agreed to the development of the harvest in the state for economic reason.

“We are still at the rudimentary phase of this issue. Before we authorize cannabis development in this state, it needs to go through specific methods and we have started the techniques.

“The help we seek from the Federal Government is a joint effort through the NDLEA to ensure due process are followed.
