N80bn fraud: EFCC uncovers 17 properties linked to accountant-general

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has traced at least 17 properties to the Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, The PUNCH has learnt. This is just as the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, suspended Idris who is currently being investigated for fraud to the tune of N80bn. An official of the EFCC, who wished to remain anonymous, said the properties traced to Idris are located in Kano, Lagos, Abuja, Dubai and London. INEC making progress against rigging, says Osun REC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, is making progress in its efforts to stamp out rigging, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun, Prof. Abdulganiy Raji, has said. Prof Raji spoke on Wednesday in Osogbo at a Pre-election Survey Methodology Workshop organised for field agents by The Electoral Institute towards the Osun 2022 governorship election. Governorship primary: Tough battles in Oyo, Sokoto, Rivers’ APC as 44,045 delegates elect candidates

No fewer than 44,045 delegates will on May 26  elect candidates in 28 states where governorship elections will take place next year.
