Owo (RIGIPO) has signed an agreement with the Leaders of The Senior Staff Association Of Nigerian Polytechnic (SSANIP) And The Non-academic Staff Union (NASU), to suspend the ongoing indefinite industrial action embarked upon by the non-academic workers of the institution. In a communique signed by the parties in the industrial dispute, it was agreed that the Unions should exercise more patience on the issue of payment of arrears of salaries since the state Government is already working on them. Suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) on Thursday bombed a police station in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. The bandits, who stormed the police station around 6.44 pm in a convoy of five vehicles and three motorcycles, reportedly threw petrol bombs on the roof of the police station, shooting sporadically. Two prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps from Benue State and two others have been kidnapped in Zamfara State.
