Extradiction: Bring up evidence against Igboho, Court tells FG, adjourns till Monday
The Nigerian government has not come up with charges that could lead to the extradition of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, currently detained in Benin Republic. Lawyers to Sunday Igboho made this known after the Yoruba rights activist appeared at Cour D’Appel De Cotonou on Thursday. According to Igboho’s lawyers, contrary to insinuations, the hearing revealed that there was no extradition agreement between Nigeria and Benin Republic. The Federal Government has told a Federal High Court in Lagos that it has not stopped Nigerians from using social media platform, Twitter, adding that many Nigerians are still using it every day. More trouble for IPOB as US bank account reportedly shut down
An account belonging to the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in the United States of America has been shutdown following concerns of suspected fraud by the domiciled bank, Starnews Nigeria has learnt.
