2020: PDP releases time table for congresses, reviews nomination fees

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has resolved to hold Congresses that will usher in new executive members from the wards to the national level, Starnews NG has gathered.

The party nomination fees from the Wards to the National level, were upwardly reviewed, approved, and ratified on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, during a meeting of the National Working Committee in Abuja, Starnews NG can authoritatively report.

Starnews NG also obtained a photocopy of the 2020 Party Congresses Time Table from a staff of the party at the National Headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, under the condition of anonymity.

A table of the upward review of nomination fees was also obtained by Starnews NG correspondent .

According to the document obtained by Starnews NG, the congresses would only hold in 26 states of Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Ekiti, Gombe, Kaduna, Nassarawa, Plateau, Taraba, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Kano, Niger, Rivers, Yobe, Bauchi, Cross Rivers, FCT, Jigawa, Katsina, Ondo, Sokoto and Edo.

PDP 2020 Congresses Time Table

Sales of nomination forms begin on Saturday, February 1, to February 29, 2020.

Last day submission of forms by Aspirants/Ward/LGA/STATE/ZONE would take place by Friday, March 6, 2020.

Election of Ward Excos and 3 Adhoc committees would hold on March 7, 2020.

Ward congresses appeal panel March fixed for March 12, 2020.

NWC approval of ward congresses will hold by March 17, 2020.

Election of Local Government Excos and National Delegates would hold by March 21, 2020.

Appeal panel for LGA excos slated for March 25, 2020.

NWC approval of Congresses for LGA fixed for March 30, 2020.

Screening of States/Zonal Excos hold on March 31, 2020.

Screening Appeal for States/Zonal Excos fixed for April 3, 2020.

State congresses hold April 4, 2020.

State congresses Appeal panel will hold in April 8, 2020.

Approval of State congresses by NWC fixed for April 13, 2020.

Zonal congresses hold April 18, 2020.

Zonal congresses Appeal panel slated for April 22, 2020.

Approval of Zonal congresses will hold April 24, 2020.

BOT MEETING / NEC approval of all congresses and ratification of National Convention Planning Committee slated for April 30, 2020.

The nonelective national convention of NWC/NEC/NCPC holds July 10, 2020 to July 24, 2020.
