• Let’s rescue Ondo State from Akeredolu’s family, he says

Banji Okunomo, a former council Boss and a leader of the Zenith Labour Party in Ondo State, has said that everything possible will be done to ensure the liberation of Ondo South Senatorial District from marginalisation and developmental challenges.

Starnews Nigeria reports that Okunomo said all the sons and daughters of Ondo State know that it is the natural turn of Ondo South to produce the governor, urging all the citizens of the southern part of Ondo State to come together and be united with other power brokers and the electorate in other Senatorial Districts of Ondo State who according to him have already joined forces with Agboola Ajayi, candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) to rescue the State from Akeredolu who has turned the state to family affairs.

The outspoken Okunomo spoke on Tuesday while addressing some youths of Ondo South who gathered at Domfav Hotel and Suites across party line in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to him, while the PDP has gotten it wrong to have fielded a candidate from a wrong zone, he said Akeredolu, on the other hand, does not deserve a second term because he didn’t perform to have deserved a second term.

”Let’s work with other power brokers and the electorate in other senatorial districts for Ondo South to take its rightful place and ensure its freedom from the shackles of backwardness, ” reiterating, “Akeredolu has not performed and as such, does not deserve a second term. PDP, on the other hand, fielded its candidate from the wrong zone. The party is swimming against the tide”.

”Be ready and be determined to stand for the liberation of Ondo South. The Governorship election is a two-horse race. PDP is out already, October 10, 2020, governorship election is between APC and the ZLP. Join me and other stakeholders to rescue Ondo State from Akeredolu and his family who are running Ondo State government like a family affair,” he said.
