NTA removed from Europe’s largest media company over AIT, Raypower Saga

The Nigerian Television Authority has been removed from the largest digital satellite television service platform in Europe, Sky Limited. A visit to Sky’s website showed that NTA had been barred indefinitely from airing on Channel 794. Court orders reopening of AIT, Ray power

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday ordered the reopening of the Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Ray Power radio. The broadcasters, owned by Daar Communications Plc, were on Thursday suspended indefinitely by the National Broadcasting Commission. The regulator accused the outlets of violating the national broadcasting code. Amongst other allegations, the NBC accused both channels of broadcasting “inciting” messages, especially from the social media.
