The traditional title holder of Erelu Oodua, and Irawo Oni Oodua of Yoruba, Mabel Tinuade Onaneye, on Monday cautioned all the traditional rulers in Yoruba land over supremacy battles.

In a telephone interview with Starnews NG, Erelu said traditional rulers in Yoruba land must stop the storytelling and the tales of being a royal superior to one another for the peace of the land.

According to Erelu, some royal fathers in Ikale land and other part of Yoruba Nation have lost viability and integrity over supremacy battles.

”Little did some Kings/Queens realise that self-made up storytelling, claims, tales of being a royal superior, emperor, paramount ruler, first-class, have made them to lack viability and lost integrity in royalties.”

”Royal supremacy claims at this stage are irrelevant to every sound mind. We all know the truth, except gullible yoruba sons and daughters.

”People are not paying attention to any impostor or any king who wants to impose his paramouncy or authority on other Kings in Ikale land or other parts of Youruba Nation.”

Erelu said it is wrong for any King to super-impose or attempt to impose himself or extend his power beyond his Kingdom.

The US-based businesswoman said supremacy battle is part of the factors dividing the Yoruba Nation across ethnic and religious lines.

”With due respect to our royal fathers, a King is a King, and a King has his own Kingdom. And every kingdom has a boundary. There is no more baales”.

For example, Ode Aye has its boundary just like any other communities in Ikaleland. Ode Aye cannot exercise authority over Okitipupa and Okitipupa cannot exercise authority over Ayeka, vice-versa.”

”Ikoya has his own kingdom and king. Idepe-Okitipupa has his own kingdom and King. And so my country home and other parts of Yoruba Kingdom.”

”All the communities in Yoruba have their kingmakers and the process of installing their kings. I have never heard of any King in the history of Yoruba that is responsible for the installation of a fellow King.”

”So, why the desperation and this tales of being a royal superior to other Obas in Yoruba dynasty?” she queried.

”Save the stool, save the crown, save the heritage, because one day, we will die,” Erelu added.
