- Asks government to devise innovation and technology in tackling insecurity
Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South Senatorial District has urged security agents to bring to book the killers of Afenifere’s Chieftain, Pa. Reuben Fasoranti’s daugher.
He also urged the government to devise innovation and technology in tackling insecurity in the country over spate of killings resently in the state and country at large.
He gave this charge in a statement on Sunday in Okitipupa by his media aide, Mr Olumide Akinrinlola while reacting to the death of Pa. Fasoranti’s daugher, Mrs Funke Olakunrin.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports tbat Mrs Olakunrin was allegedly attacked and killed last week by suspected herdsmen in her vehicle on Lago-Ore expressway.
The distinguished Senator also sympathised with the Fasoranti family and the entire Ondo state over tbe unfortunate incident praying for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
“I sincerely register my deepest condolences with all the families of the bereaved; especially Pa Fasornati’s family over the death of Mrs Olakunrin.
“It is terrible to hear about the unfortunate death of Mrs Olakunrin. allegedly killed by suspected headsmen, i pray for the repose of her soul.
“I hereby call on the police and other security agents to get to the root of this matter and bring all the perpetrators to book.
I also urge the government to adopt a new approach and introduce technology in addressing the incessant rate of insecurity in Nigeria,” Tofowomo added.
