• Says Akeredolu’s achievement is the revenue house where Chinyere is the Secretary

Banji Okunomo, a former council Boss and a leader of the Zenith Labour Party in Ondo State, has moved the motion for Ondo South agenda ahead of the October 10, 2020 governorship election in the State.

The former Publicity Secretary and a former governorship aspirant of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who recently joined the ZLP in Ondo State moved the motion on Saturday in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State during the official flag-off of the ZLP’s governorship campaign.

Okunomo said: “I say it, I will continue to say it and I want to repeat it again that, it is the turn of Ondo South to produce the next governor of Ondo State. The sitting governor does not deserve a second term because he has failed. I was in the PDP about three weeks ago, I decided to leave the Umbrella party because the Umbrella is leaking. The candidate of the PDP should wait for his turn. In Ondo South, it is our resolve and resolution that we are going to use our votes to stop the misgovernance of Akeredolu in Ondo State.”

“I, therefore, move the motion that the next governor of Ondo State should be elected on the platform of the Zenith Labour Party, the only party that respected the zoning arrangement of Ondo State by producing our son, Chief Agboola Ajay, from Ondo South as its candidate. So, I call on every southerner to go out on October 10, 2020, and vote for their son, Agboola Ajayi”, he said:

Starnews Nigeria reports that Okunomo, a crusader for Southern agenda also said that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu does not deserve a second term due to his abysmal performance in the State.

“Where are our school shuttle buses? Where are the over 52 mega schools built by Mimiko in Ondo State? Where is our Iya Abiye programme in Ondo State? Where are the projects Akeredolu did in our various local governments as a sitting governor? The only project of this present government is the revenue house where one Mrs Chinyere is the secretary.”

“While Akeredolu must be replaced, the PDP is not an option. We need a cheerful giver not a miser as our governor. Ondo South has been marginalised. No Electricity, our economy is dead, no road. We can’t continue like that.”

“On the liberation of my people I stand. I didn’t win the guber ticket of my then party, PDP, let another person get it in the South and that has been my agitation from inception”, Okunomo said.
