Breaking: Okitipupa LG Boss Reshuffles Portfolios of Supervisory Councilors

  • Sets up committees on environmental sanitation

The chairman of Okitipupa Local Government of Ondo State, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya, on Thursday, reshuffled the portfolios of some supervisory councilors. 

He also set up Committees on Environmental Sanitation.

According to his Media Aide, Martins Fasusi, in a statement made available to newsmen in Okitipupa, Ondo State, the redeployment was aimed at repositioning the local government for optimal performance.

The names of the affected Supervisors and their new portfolios are as follows :

1). Faniyi Folorunsho -Health.

2). Akinsulere Monday -Community, Youths and Sports.

3). Mrs Omosebi Remilekun -Women Affairs.

4). Olowogboye Folorunsho – Contact and Mobilization.

5). Adeyemi Adeniran -Works Civil and Mechanical.

6). Oyegun Olaniyi  -Budget Monitoring and Planning.

7). Ayesan Obafemi -Education.

8 ) Adelakun Adeyori -IGR.

9). Arogbo Solomon -Natural Disaster Management and Emergency.

10). Olumekun Olorunyomi -Political Matters and Special Duties.

11). Olatunjoye Oluwasegun Seun – Agriculture. 

12). Adebusoye Adebanbo -Chieftaincy.

13). Atunwa Temitope Philip -Environment and Natural Resources.

In a separate release, the following were also set up as members of Environmental Sanitation Committees.

Starnews reports that the committee is to monitor the safety, heath and environmental related practices in compliance with appropriate laws and regulations. 

The chairman also said that the committee is to ensure strict compliance to environmental safety and health measures. He added that the committee would also investigate negative practices and conduct, which might be inimical to the overall well being of the people within the entire local government. 

According to him, the committee would also appropriate sanctions and punishment to offenders in line with the environmental laws of the State when there is need for such. 

On the redeployment of Supervisors, Abayomi called on all the concerned supervisors to see the development as opportunity to give their best to the growth of the LG. 

He directed all the affected persons to resume to their new duties with immediate effect
